Friday, September 16:  Writing As Art—Editing and Publishing, with Wayne Drumheller

The workshop takes participants through the steps of designing and writing from cover page, title page, copyright statement, introduction, use of art and illustrations, content pages and biographical back page. Participants will receive a sample cover folder, steps to success worksheet in self-publishing.

Participants with books in progress or proofing stages will be recognized with a discussion of their work.

Drumheller, a photojournalist, graduated from Nelson County High School. He is editor and founder of The Carolinas-Virginia Short Book Writers Project, which provides one-time gift-in-kind sponsorships of time and talent for book design, editing assistance and publishing to in-terested writers. Since 2010, the self-funded project has assisted more than 70 local and regional writers and artisans in publishing their books.
