Nelson County Community Orchestra Concert
The Nelson County Community Orchestra (NCCO) will be holding their first concert of the season on Monday, November 16, at 7:30 pm in the Auditorium. The concert will be under the direction of Philip Clark, NCCO’s Conductor and Music Director. The program will feature guest performer Frank Hsu, a High School exchange student from Taiwan, playing viola in Concerto in G for Viola and Strings by G.P. Telemann. Additional works performed by the orchestra will include works by Erik Satie, Camille Saint-Saens, and Johann Strauss.
NCCO is sponsoring an additional award for the 13th Annual Rapunzel’s Song Writer’s Contest to be held October 24, 2015 at Rapunzel’s in Lovingston. The winning song writer will be offered the opportunity to perform their winning song with the orchestra as backup at their May 2016 concert.
