North Branch School presents the annual performance of St. George and the Dragon at 1:30 and 7 pm at RVCC on Friday, December 19.
St. George and the Dragon is a mummer’s play--a collection of poems, stories, songs and dances that are a part of the history of the human effort to “drive the cold winter away.” North Branch welcomes the community to this Winter Solstice celebration. Performed by NBS students and free to the public, St. George and the Dragon is a long-standing tradition in Nelson County, and a school tradition now over 30 years old.
