September is National Emergency Preparedness Month and your local, state, and national community emergency response organizations are sponsoring a day of community and family fun and intrigue for all ages. You don’t want to miss this event at one of Virginia’s most beautiful locations!

*State Geologist of Virginia David Spears – speaking on geology of slides in VA,
*Author Stefan Bechtel – reading of “Roar of The Heavens”
*Free Disney Pillowcase Project classes for Kids (American Red Cross)
*Free Adult Home Emergency Preparedness classes (American Red Cross)
*Free health screenings by Blue Ridge Medical Center & Va Health Department
*Exhibits - Hurricane Camille 1969
*Demonstrations – Fire Trucks, Fireman, State Police, EMTs
