Saturday, July 26:  Intro to Positive Psychology

10:00--12:00pm, $45.  Fee includes workbook.  What is Positive Psychology?  Simply put, PP is the 'science of happiness'! First introduced by Martin Seligman, president of the APA in 1999, PP has expanded as a scientific and personal growth field.  Traditional psychology is oriented toward the 'dysfunctional' and 'problem-oriented' - Positive Psychology focuses on 'what works', 'what went well', and simply what makes us happier in our everyday lives.  Backed by scientific research as well as personal and interpersonal experience, PP has the power to excite and transform our everyday lives - with PP we learn to do what we do best - better!  This workshop introduces the basic ideas of Positive Psychology as well as some fun exercises, group and individual, as well as a workbook to take home to help reinforce daily applications of PP concepts.
